Wishing all our

 Family & Friends a

Happy Valentines Day!!

We celebrated our Valentine’s Day yesterday with a modest exchange of treats, and our traditional homemade Valentines dinner of grilled steak and broccoli, steamed lobster tails, Cesar salad, and toasted ciabatta bread

Valentine’s Day this year is filled with Madison's first soccer practice, Michael's final basketball practice and a math exam for me!! Thank goodness I have such an incredible spouse, and the kids have such a committed father to lend a hand with the additional duties.

Perfect fit for my "Prince Charming"

Fun, delicious V-day treat for the little ones, that even the big kids (aka hubbies) like....love too!

Great in a bag with a cute saying; "You're cute as a button"
 What you'll need:
  • square pretzels
  • Hershey's Hugs or Kisses
  • plain M&Ms

Directions:
Preheat oven to 200°.  (If your oven runs hot you may want to turn the temp down to 170°.)
Bake for 4-5 minutes until the chocolate is shiny and soft (but NOT melting - they should still hold their shape).
Carefully place an M&M in the center of each hug and press it down to spread the chocolate.
Allow to cool completely (a few minutes in the fridge works perfectly) and enjoy!

Now I leave you with pictures of the little ones....

Visitors

We love visitors, especially our family!

Mom-mom & "Big Guy" Pop-pop paid us a visit this past weekend, and what fun we had.

Big Guy all ready for his flight from Philly to Houston

Mike, Michael, Madison, Lilly-girl and I were spoiled living in Virgina Beach, being in driving distance of 5+ hours away, making once a month trips feasible. Now a 23+ hours drive has turned our monthly visits into quarterly visits, with Mom making more of those trips. It's more cost effective for her to purchase one plane ticket, opposed to us having to purchase four plane tickets, and then the extra cost of boarding Lilly-girl too.

Thursday afternoon they're plane arrived safely, and they would see first hand how crazy The Moore's week tends to be with our extra curricular activities and commitments. Mike had work, I had class that evening, and Michael had basketball practice. So I made a homemade pot roast with carrots, onions and potatoes complementing it with a green salad, and warm sour dough bread. Yum-mo!!

Friday Big Guy and I enjoyed our date to Lake Charles, Louisiana to do a little gambling at the L'auberge Casino Resort!
All Ready!!

Such a blessing to have him in my life

Saturday The top Chef at the "Moore Diner", Mike, made us his fabulous, famous Saturday breakfast. Then it was time to go cheer Michael on at his basketball game against the "Lakers!" After his game, we went and celebrated his win with some ice cream. We went back to the house, and we were going to go to Trader's Village, a big outdoor flea market here in Texas, but by the time we would have driven the hour to get there, we would have had only an hour or so to browse, so we decided we'd take Lilly-Girl to the dog park instead. We then came back, and it was dinner time, so we enjoyed a nice dinner at Pappa's Seafood Restaurant. Everyone said their food melted in their mouth, and was just so scrumptious!

Mom-mom looks forward to her bike rides with her buddy to school

Daddy worked from home on Friday, so he joined his mom, and son on their bike ride to school

Mom wanted to turn the fireplace on, so we had to snap a picture

Pop-pop with his "Big Guy" Michael ...that's how he got his name "Big Guy" Pop-pop

Have to have a picture with his baby-doll

Awesome Game buddy

Madison showing off her bball skills to "Big Guy"!

Sunday It was time to say our goodbyes!!

It's always so nice having family visit, but, their visit always seem so short and we never want them or anyone to leave! Can't wait for Mom's visit in March to help us celebrate Michael's 8th birthday!!
